the aftermath of BMAT

Just yesterday, BMAT day.. was defintely the most challenging paper i've ever sat for.. mostly due to the lack of time and coupled with tough questions, the task seemed even more daunting. Furthermore, there was no break at all! 2 hours straight, 3 papers... impossible.. ending with an essay..

The essay was not the problem as it was pretty good i thought, but the first 2 papers were close to impossible of finish0ing them! Paper one being thinking skills and sptitude test.. loads of passages to read and drawing conclusions from them. there was also the need to calculate many things and that took up more than one minute per question! by the way, it was 57 questions in 60 mins. daunting. did my best but still had no time for about 5 questions. mad.

Paper 2 couldnt get any better. Being a scientific paper, the questions were mostly based on the 2 sciences - bio, chem and physics. Time limit - a large problem. 27 questions in 30 mins. close to the first paper. and mind you.. the science questions were not easy at all and the need to get the whole question correct before u gain a miserly mark was absolutely pissing off. yet i did my best but still was unable to complete 2 questions.

no matter though.. as long as i get a roughly 60 % for each paper, i would be safe. these tests do not have an absolute standing in getting a place in cambridge and UCL, but then again, a satisfactory score would be beneficial of course. I shouldnt do too badly i think..

Its all over now. Time for a short break before getting back to work. focus on the A levels. Get my 4As and the world is my oyster. Dont worry Charles!
